The revolutionary Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, unveiled to the public at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month, has achieved sales representing far more than one year’s production also due to strong motor show reception. That momentum, which began at VIP customer previews in late-2010, now continues at www.Aventador.com, where brand enthusiasts have the opportunity to configure the high-tech, lightweight Aventador’s exterior and interior color to their preference, while viewing the newest brand film teasing the €255,000 flagship.
“Interest in the Aventador has been unprecedented and we have orders for far more than one year. Before customer deliveries begin in the second half of 2011, customers and brand enthusiasts can visit the Aventador microsite to receive a glimpse into the wealth of personalization opportunities available with the new V12 super sports car,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. “Although we prefer to leave the complete customization process to a one-on-one experience with a Lamborghini retailer, the microsite is the perfect interactive tool for enthusiasts who want to test different options and styles for a truly personalized Lamborghini.”
The microsite also features full technical specifications, standard equipment, options and a full directory of official Lamborghini dealerships around the globe.
The Aventador LP 700-4 is the sixth generation Lamborghini V12 model. The stunning vehicle redefines the pinnacle of the luxury super sports car market, combining high power, outstanding lightweight engineering and phenomenal handling precision. Its innovative monocoque made entirely from carbon fiber results in a low dry weight of only 3,472 pounds (1.575 kilos) – a 199 pound (90 kilos) weight-savings versus its predecessor. Combined with this low weight, the Aventador’s new 700 horsepower V12 engine and Independent Shift Rod transmission provide breathtaking performance – 0-100 Km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration in just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 350 Km/h (217 mph). A Formula 1-inspired pushrod suspension and all-wheel drive system provide precise handling and stability at the very highest speeds.
